Introduction

Hi Everyone!

My name is Toni Perkins. It should actually be Toni Southam being as I was married 7 years ago, but I still haven't gotten around to changing it. Maybe one day.

I'm 25 years old and currently reside in Grand Junction, Colorado. I was born and raised in Arizona, though, and have also spent several years living in Utah, Wyoming, Texas, and Missouri. My husband and I have 2 little boys, ages 4 and 1, and another little surprise baby boy on the way; I'm due early May.

This is my first course with ASU, and I am extremely anxious and nervous for what is to come. My last school was strictly an online, for-profit, joke of an institution, so I am hoping my skills are up to par with what is expected here at ASU. I've taken quite a few history courses, and I think my favorite areas of study would have to be European history, mainly Classical Greek and Roman Antiquity, and the Civil War, although, I definitely have a soft spot for the Age of Discovery and all those crazy explorers of the period. My husband and I actually embarked on a month long journey this summer, child free, to Europe and did some serious exploring, which only worsened my obsession with European history.

Well, that's my life in a nutshell. I have a personal blog I update occasionally and many of my pictures from our Euro vacation are posted on there. If anyone is interested I'll include the link below. Hopefully that's okay. Best of luck to everyone!
